Putting It Together: A Program in Theater Celebration

FREEOn the eve of the 50th anniversary of Princeton’s Program in Theater in 2024, “Putting It Together” is a celebration that will inaugurate a permanent archive of the history of Princeton’s academic theater program. The afternoon of events includes two panel discussions with current and past faculty, program directors, and alumni; an open mic session; and closing reception.

First performance of two-time Obie Award-winning, MacArthur “Genius” Fellow and playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins ’06 adaptation of The Bacchae, Gurls, inaugurated the Wallace Theater at the new Lewis Arts complex in 2017, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz ’06, who is currently resident director at Lincoln Center Theater.
