ACP Parking Lot Pop-Up Series Offers Lineup of Affordable Summertime Activities

The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) will host several Parking Lot Pop-Ups in their mural-adorned parking lot in downtown Princeton, NJ. Admission for these summertime events ranges from free to $15, benefiting local musicians and ACP community programming.
With live music set for Friday, July 26 with a Pop-Up Show featuring The Prisms. Specializing in delivering captivating renditions of both originals and choice covers – including Grateful Dead, Phish, Clapton, and Dylan – each Prisms performance promises a unique and memorable experience. With a substantial repertoire, the band’s cohesion stems from their extensive history of live collaborations dating back to 2004. Doors open at 6:30pm and music will run from 7-10pm. $5 online or at the door. Proceeds benefit ACP community programs.

The Princeton yART sale returns on Saturday, August 3. This flea market-style sale is your chance to snag creative finds handcrafted by local artisans. Ceramics, jewelry, textiles, printmaking, and supplies await – all priced to sell. 9am-1pm. Free.
Previous summer events included: a Pop-Up Show on June 13th, featuring Blush Boy, a dynamic group blending pop, rock, and indie sensibilities creating a captivating sound you will be eager to dance to. Opening acts include Late Knights, compositions by pianist Ethan Blaser, and Groove Goose, talented young musicians from Princeton High School’s Studio Band. Doors open at 6:30pm and music will run from 7-10pm. $5 online or at the door. All proceeds go directly to the performers.
Following on Friday, June 14 was an Outdoor Drum Circle led by Chris Stibol and Stibol Music instructor Tobias Richardson, who just completed a tour with Wu Tang Clan. A drum circle is a communal gathering where participants play drums and other percussion instruments together. The emphasis is on group participation and connection through the beat. This kind of gathering offers numerous benefits, including stress relief, community building, improved rhythm skills, and a boost in creativity. Beginners welcome. Tickets are $15 on stibolmusic.com. Proceeds benefit ACP and Stibol Music programs.
