Lower Makefield, PA  – The AOY Art Center invites artists from throughout the tri-state area to participate in the 12th Annual Juried Show, a prestigious event showcasing the region’s diverse artistic talent. Entries are now being accepted, and artists are encouraged to submit their best work for consideration.

The esteemed juror for this year’s show is Leah Triplett Harrington, the Director of Exhibitions and Contemporary Curatorial Initiatives at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). Ms. Harrington brings a wealth of experience to the role, following in the footsteps of previous jurors such as Amanda Burdan of the Brandywine River Museum in 2022 and Jessica Todd Smith from the Pennsylvania Museum of Art in 2023. Both curators delivered outstanding exhibitions, and AOY is confident that Ms. Harrington will continue this tradition.

Artists interested in participating can find detailed information, including the full prospectus, at aoyarts.org. The deadline for submissions is Saturday, March 16, and the exhibition is scheduled to take place from April 12 to May 5. Each artist may submit up to three pieces, with an entry fee of $35 for members and $45 for non-members.

Cash prizes will be awarded to outstanding entries, adding an extra incentive for artists to bring their best creations to the show. The AOY Art Center is pleased to announce the sponsorship of Honorable Mention awards by Jerry’s Artarama of Lawrenceville.

Bette Sovinee, Executive Director of AOY Art Center, expressed excitement about the upcoming event. “We have consistently elevated the caliber of our juror selections in recent years, and we believe that Ms. Harrington will contribute to another exceptional exhibition. We encourage artists to seize this opportunity and submit their work for consideration.”

In addition to the juried show, AOY Art Center takes pride in being recently voted the #2 Art Gallery in Bucks County (per the Bucks County Herald “Best of the Region 2023” contest), second only to the Michener Museum. This recognition further underscores the center’s commitment to promoting and celebrating the arts in our community.
