Independent Arts News Reporting Circus Magic Unfolds Under the Big Top at Trenton Circus Squad’s “Leaps & Bounds”

The evening on JUNE 22 will kick off with interactive circus workshops and games at 6:00 PM, followed by performances at 7:00 PM.

Trenton, NJ – Prepare to be amazed as Trenton Circus Squad unveils its big top tent for the first time in Mercer County at “Step Right Up: Leaps & Bounds,” a captivating evening of circus artistry and community celebration. This much-anticipated event will take place on the campus of Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart on Saturday, June 22nd.
“Leaps & Bounds” embodies the spirit of Trenton Circus Squad—empowering youth through circus arts and nurturing a community where everyone belongs. Witness the transformative impact of the program as participants demonstrate their journeys from eager learners to skilled performers, defying gravity and expectations alike.
Tom von Oehsen, Executive Director of Trenton Circus Squad, invites the community to this special event: “We’re not only celebrating the growth and achievement of our squad, but also offering a glimpse into the exciting future ahead, starting with our 2025 New Jersey summer tour. Come see why kids are running away to Trenton Circus Squad!”

The evening kicks off with interactive circus workshops and games at 6:00 PM, followed by performances at 7:00 PM. Guests will be treated to delicious carnival fare prepared by the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen’s innovative culinary program. Opportunities to contribute to Trenton Circus Squad’s mission will also be available, including a silent auction, live auction, and 50/50 raffle.
Those who can’t make it in person are encouraged to support Trenton Circus Squad by making a donation. Every contribution ensures that more young people have the opportunity to experience the unique, empowering magic of circus arts, fostering skills and confidence that not only transform their lives but also ripple out to uplift families and communities.
