Flemington DIY Launches Acoustic, Jazz, Bluegrass Jams

Flemington DIY has launched a series of monthly jam sessions including jazz, bluegrass, and the more structured acoustic players. Participants may also attend and just watch and listen. 

(FLEMINGTON, NJ) – Flemington DIY has launched a series of monthly jam sessions including jazz, bluegrass, and the more structured acoustic players. Participants may also attend and just watch and listen. 

 

The Groups:

 

  • Monthly Open Bluegrass Jams
    Third Thursdays monthly, 7-9pm starting March 16
    Participants of all levels are encouraged to bring instruments, tunes, friends, and refreshments (no alcohol). $5 suggested donation. More info: org/bluegrass

  • Open Jazz Jams
    First Sundays monthly, 1-5pm starting March 5
    From 1-2 PM the hosting musicians for the week will play. Other musicians will be invited to sit in and play between 2-5 PM (typically a minimum of 2 songs each, circumstances permitting). With the exception of drum kit and piano, all musicians should bring their own equipment (instruments, amps, drum sticks, microphones, etc.). . $3-5 suggested donation. More info: org/open-jazz-jams

  • Flemington Acoustic Players
    Third Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30pm next session March 21
    This gathering is for acoustic players ONLY; i.e guitars, ukuleles, mandolins & banjos. Chords and lyrics to the songs will be projected on a screen. $5 suggested donation. More info: org/acoustic

 

FLEMINGTON DIY (Do It Yourself) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide an inclusive art space that engages the community with the burgeoning local arts scene, inspires social change, and invigorates the economic development of Flemington, New Jersey. The space is all ages, alcohol-free, and is located at 26 Stangl Road, Flemington, NJ in the heart of the Arts & Cultural District.
