River Union Stage Presents 2nd Annual New Works Weekend

Frenchtown, NJ – Discover something new! Join River Union Stage for our 2nd Annual New Works Weekend in celebration of the human imagination in all its diversity. Weekend events include readings of new plays, new music, film shorts, visual art, poetry, and panel discussions the weekend of Friday, November 3 through Sunday, November 5, 2023. All events take place in the Presbyterian Church of Milford Fellowship Hall, 70 Bridge Street.
The weekend kicks off on Friday night with viewings of New Film shorts and a talk-back with the filmmakers, as well as a Panel Discussion on Writers Writing with Philly’s Liars Club authors. Saturday afternoon features stage readings of two One-act Plays from Flemington’s Robert Miller II, Ph. D.’s “End of the World” series.
Attend Saturday night for RUS’s Art Meets Poetry series featuring work by local artists Cay Maria Adams, Heather Brady, Adrienne Crombie, Modern Fossils, Mary Schwarzberger, and Val Sivilli, who have created new art pieces based on work by local poets Rich Cahill, Warren Cooper, Jim Gould, MaryAnne L. Miller, Laura Swanson, and Skye Van Saun. Saturday night also features Music by singer- songwriters Al Leigh SoTold and River Candy. Sunday afternoon’s audience will experience RUS’s From Page to Stage offering of a new play written by Frenchtown’s Dustin Parent, based on his short story “Circus World.”
