Sundaes on the Veranda

Trenton, NJ – Enjoy a delicious ice cream sundae with your choice of classic flavors and toppings as Trenton City Museum hosts its annual Sundaes on the Veranda Sunday, June 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundaes will be served in an artisan-made ceramic bowls to keep and reuse or display. Admission is $20 for a sundae in a ceramic bowl, $10 in a disposable bowl, and $6 for children aged six and under accompanied by an adult (disposable bowl).
Trenton City Museum’s breezy veranda, the site of the ice cream social, offers a beautiful view of historic Cadwalader Park. The museum is accessible by car from Parkside Avenue and has ample parking adjacent to the building. It is open Fridays and Saturdays, noon to 4pm and Sundays, 1 to 4 pm. Located in the heart of Trenton’s Cadwalader Park, The Trenton City Museum is housed in Ellarslie Mansion, an 1848 Italianate Villa on the National Historic Register. The historic and popular park was designed by the legendary Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed such landmarks as New York City’s Central Park. The museum showcases exhibitions of fine contemporary painting and sculpture, along with ongoing and changing history displays that explore Trenton’s rich industrial and cultural past. The Trenton Museum Society works with the City of Trenton to support the museum’s operations and programming and is celebrating its 50th anniversary throughout 2023.
