NEWSROOM POST: LAMBERTVILLE, NEW JERSEY

An immersive movie experience bringing together the magic of cinema, the rhythm of live music, and the excitement of dance

Lambertville, NJ – The Acme Screening Room Presents on Friday, August 15 at 7 pm for The Cinemix Social Plus Dance Party Fundraiser. Join the Acme for an unforgettable evening in collaboration with Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Lambertville and live music by Rio VSOP. Sponsored by Nancy Northup & Jim Johnson.

Step into the story like never before with a reimagined movie experience that brings together the magic of cinema, the rhythm of live music, and the excitement of dance — with YOU at the center of it all. The experience includes: Live Music with Rio VSOP, a Movie Screening of Take the Lead starring Antonio Banderas and Alfre Woodard, a dance lesson, live performances and open dance Floor. Drinks and appetizers included.

Whether you’re a film buff, dance lover, or just looking for a unique night out, this immersive social event is not to be missed. Let the music move you and become part of the story! About the film-When internationally renowned dancer Pierre Dulaine (Antonio Banderas) takes a teaching job in a New York City public school, he meets ridicule from the street-wise students, who scoff at the notion of ballroom dancing. Far from being discouraged, he melds their hip-hop moves with his classical style, helping them create a dance form and, in the process, becoming their mentor. Tickets $35 in advance, $40 at the door. All proceeds support the Acme during our annual Summer Appeal.
