The Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society series returns at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 31, with David Leisner, followed by "Love, Always: An Evening of Romance" with Keith & Amy Spencer on February 13th
Newtown, PA – Bucks County Community College proudly presents Bucks Live!, a series of innovative programs that entertain, inspire, and enrich Bucks County’s cultural landscape. Take in world-class live music, dance, and theatrical performances close to home and at an affordable price.
The Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society series returns at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 31, with David Leisner, an extraordinarily versatile musician with a multi-faceted career as an electrifying performing artist, a distinguished composer, and a master teacher.
According to American Record Guide, Leisner is “among the finest guitarists of all time.” His career began auspiciously with top prizes in both the 1975 Toronto and 1981 Geneva International Guitar Competitions. He has toured around the U.S. and the world, including his solo debut with the Atlanta Symphony, a major tour of Australia and New Zealand, and debuts and reappearances in China, Japan, the Philippines, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, the U.K., Italy, Czech Republic, Greece, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
Next, love is in the air this Valentine’s season with “Love, Always: An Evening of Romance“ Inspired by the Great American Songbook, Broadway, and Classic Pop” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 13. Keith and Amy Spencer warmly invite you to a heartfelt concert filled with love songs that have stood the test of time The music captures every shade of love, from first sparks to lifelong devotion, and is brought to life by an extraordinary jazz ensemble made up of some of the finest musicians in the Philadelphia area.
