AOY Announces Juror and Call for Artists
NEWSROOM POST: YARDLEY, PA
(YARDLEY, PA) – AOY Art Center is honored to announce the Juror for the 11th Annual Juried Art Show will be Jessica Todd Smith. Ms. Smith is the Director of Curatorial Initiatives and the Susan Gray Detweiler Curator of American Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The 11th Annual Juried Show is open for all artists to enter, one of only two shows that AOY Art Center opens to all artists each year.
Entries are due Saturday March 18 and the exhibition dates are April 14-May 14. Artists can enter up to three pieces for $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Interested artists can go to aoyarts.org to learn more and find all the details in the prospectus. Cash prizes will be awarded.
“This year promises to attract a high quality of art given the amazing quality of the Juror!,” stated Bette Sovinee, Executive Director. “We are continually working to provide the very best experience for our artists and to provide quality exhibitions for our community.”

About the Juror
Jessica Todd Smith is the Director of Curatorial Initiatives and the Susan Gray Detweiler Curator of American Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she is responsible for American painting and sculpture made between 1900 and 1960. At the museum, she has curated Elegy: Lament in the 20th Century (2022); Painting Identity (2021); Herbert Ferber: Form into Space (co-curated with Timothy Rub 2019-2020); Horace Pippin: From War to Peace (2019); and Modern Times: American Art 1910−1950 (2018), which was accompanied by the publication American Modernism: Highlights from the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
