Meet area artists, receive peer-to-peer feedback, and share creative resources at the Arts Council of Princeton on January 27 from 6:30-8pm.
Princeton, NJ — The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) is pleased to present Princeton Crit, a monthly peer-to-peer creative exchange designed to support and strengthen the local art community. The first session will take place on Tuesday, January 27 from 6:30-8pm.
Princeton Crit provides an inclusive, constructive space for area artists to share work, receive feedback, and exchange creative resources. The format encourages dialogue across all artistic mediums, experience levels, and stages of practice.
Artist Carey Gates, dedicated educator with over twenty years of experience teaching art and art history, will facilitate respectful critique and supportive engagement, fostering rich conversations that help artists evolve their work.
Participants may arrive as early as 6pm to set up their artwork, with the session beginning promptly at 6:30pm. Each critique slot is limited to 10 artists, allowing for focused and meaningful feedback. Artists are invited to present up to three pieces for discussion, with each participant receiving a 10-minute critique. ACP provides easels for display, and pedestals are available upon request for three-dimensional work. Attendees are encouraged to listen actively and offer constructive comments when engaging in critiques.
