James was one of the youngest performers ever to be nominated for a Los Angeles Theater Ovation Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical, honored for his role as Bobby Child in “Crazy for You.” In the UK, he’s appeared as Curly in the Cameron Mackintosh revival of “Oklahoma!” and as Billy Bigelow in the pre-West End tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel.” Off-Broadway, he starred in the long-running musical “The Fantasticks” as El Gallo and in the new musical “Sweetee.”

His other theatre credits include work as producer and book writer for the 2018 original West End musical “It Happened in Key West” and as standby for the role of Nick Arnstein in the 2022 Broadway revival of “Funny Girl.” James is also an original member of the music group Teatro, whose self-titled debut album was certified gold in the UK, and headlined at the 2007 Royal Variety Performance for Queen Elizabeth II. His 2010 debut solo album was “Tupelo.” He is a show conceiver, co-writer, and director of his latest project “The Last Match: A Pro Wrestling Rock Experience”, which is a multiple award-winning, fully-immersive pro wrestling rock show. It will be landing in Vegas for its residency in the near future!
