NEWSROOM POST: NEW HOPE, PA
An exhibition honoring New Hope, PA through the lens of regional artists - on view now through October 12th
New Hope, PA – New Hope Arts and the New Hope Historical Society are proud to present New Hope Then and Now, an exhibition that honors the unique history of New Hope, celebrates its vibrant present, and highlights its legacy as a river town that has grown into one of the region’s most celebrated arts destinations.
New Hope Then and Now is also a special fundraising exhibition. Proceeds from sales are shared between the artists, the New Hope Historical Society, and New Hope Arts – directly supporting the local arts community and two valued nonprofit organizations. With more than 90 original works for sale, at a wide range of prices, it’s a rare opportunity to collect artwork inspired by the town we know and love while giving back in a meaningful way.
In preparation for the show, several en plein air painting sessions were held at historically significant sites in New Hope, providing artists the opportunity to engage directly with the town’s storied landmarks. The exhibition features work from 43 regional artists whose perspectives highlight New Hope’s enduring character as both a historic river town and a celebrated haven for artists and creatives.

Alongside the artwork, select historic memorabilia generously on loan from the New Hope Historical Society will also be on view, further connecting the exhibition to the town’s past. This collaboration reflects one of many ways local organizations continue to honor and preserve New Hope’s artistic and cultural heritage.
“New Hope has a way of revealing its character through its stunning scenery”, said New Hope Arts’ Executive Director, Christine Ramirez. “From the banks of the Delaware River and the historic canal towpath to the charm of its architecture, these works highlight the views that have inspired generations of artists.”
