Two original theatrical productions by local playwrights take the Main Gallery stage this December. Tickets start at $20.00.
New Hope, PA – New Hope Arts is thrilled to announce the return of live theater to its Main Gallery stage with not one, but two original productions this December, showcasing the rich talent of local playwrights and performers. These two shows offer something for everyone—from a family-friendly holiday comedy to a nostalgic, heartfelt musical, marking an exciting milestone in New Hope Arts’ dedication to the performing arts.
First up, December 13-15, 2024, is Santa Santa Santa, a delightful Christmas comedy written by local actor and playwright JaQuinley Kerr. This family-friendly show brings holiday cheer for all ages, followed by a festive sing-along with milk and cookies.
Santa Santa Santa follows a store Santa who finds himself caught in a Christmas snowstorm that threatens to keep him from his own family on Christmas Eve. Alongside his cheerful, caffeine-fueled elf, Holly (played by Kerr herself), and the ever-jolly store announcer (played by musician Matt DiMarino), Santa is reminded of the true spirit of the season in unexpected and heartwarming ways. Beloved local actor Righteous Jolly takes on the role of Santa, blending warmth and humor as he rediscovers the magic of Christmas.

Next up, A Levittown Christmas Carol, an original musical by actor and playwright Righteous Jolly, co-written with David Garrett Shaw, who also composed its sixteen original songs. Running December 19-22, this bold reimagining of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol sets the classic tale in Levittown, PA, blending humor, rock, and holiday spirit in a production that both entertains and touches the heart.
This show brings a nostalgic twist with scenes from the 90s, characters you might recognize from the neighborhood Wawa, and even a headbanging Ghost of Christmas Past. The story follows Chuck, a diner employee, and Grace, a young woman with dreams of opening a bakery—a goal set back by bureaucracy and prejudice. As their stories unfold on Christmas Eve, audiences will enjoy unique interpretations of Ebby Scrooge’s classic tale, including a transformed barber as the Ghost of Christmas Present and a mysterious Ghost of Christmas Future.
