NEWSROOM POST: EMMAUS, PA

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the public is invited to an Opening Reception & Artist Talk with Gary Giordano from 6:00 – 8:30 PM at Juxtahub Arts and Innovation Center

Emmaus, PA – Juxtahub Arts and Innovation Center is pleased to present a special evening spotlighting new paintings by Gary Giordano, a celebrated artist with deep roots in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. This vibrant event includes an artist panel discussion, group exhibition in the Main Gallery, and an intimate tour of Giordano’s studio.

Giordano’s latest body of work explores nonrepresentational and gestural abstraction. “I begin with the experiences of daily living,” he shares. “Art, gallery visits, museum walks, writing, and conversations with other artists all stir my thoughts. When I step into the studio, I let go of those thoughts and surrender to the rhythm of painting. In that flow state, time disappears. I paint from pure instinct — connecting with the vibration of the universe.”

A Pennsylvania native, Giordano was born in Trenton and raised in Yardley, Bucks County. He was first inspired by the works of Impressionists, Modernists, and Abstract artists during early visits to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Barnes Foundation. After establishing a robust practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, he moved to Bushwick, Brooklyn, in 2009, where he became immersed in the NYC art scene. From 2012–2017, he ran Gallery Gary Giordano, a beloved space for painters, before expanding it to Frenchtown, NJ, and New Hope, PA.
