Frenchtown NJ: The 3rd Annual Makers Alley Artisan and Craft Juried Exhibition Opens October 22 - November 6 with over 60 Artists spanning from the Delaware River Valley Creative Communities

The 3rd Annual Makers Alley Artisan and Craft Juried Exhibition Opens October 22 – November 6 in Frenchtown, New Jersey with over 60 Artists from the Delaware River Valley creative communities

In celebration of the ArtOber Festival, Makers Alley, the artisan & crafts collective, will present its 3nd Annual Makers Alley Artisan & Craft Juried Exhibition October 22 – November 6, 2022. Makers Alley is a community-based collective that supports artists and craft makers creating works across all artistic and craft disciplines and skill sets. Located again this year in Frenchtown, New Jersey at the River Mills Knoll on Bridge Street, the exhibition opens on Saturday, October 22. It is free and open to the public every Friday 4-8pm, and Saturday and Sunday11am-6pm. In addition to the art exhibition, there will be makers’ demonstrations, a food lounge and a sculpture garden.

Continuing in the tradition of working with area professionals and recognized local artists, this year’s jurors included tapestry artist and weaver Rita Gekht, fine arts curator at New Hope Arts Center Christine Ramirez, and Jaysond Neill senior designer at Nagashima. The works on view were entered in the two categories of Emerging or Experienced Artists. The selected works will also be available for viewing online. All the works are for sale.

This annual exhibition has evolved to present a wider selection of the makers and artisans at work in the Delaware river towns providing the opportunity for art lovers and collectors to discover what inspires them today and the chance to acquire these emerging and experienced artists.


Visitors Frenchtown will also have the opportunity to see Makers Alley artist’s work in the stores and windows of participating businesses. The Spinnery, the yarn and weaving materials shop at 33 Race Street will be hosting Makers Alley member and exhibition selected artist Bonnie Berkowitz’s mesmerizing puppets in the windows. LibbyBeans handcrafted chocolate delectable at 43 Bridge Street is hosting Mary Schwarzenberger’s beautiful fiber dyed jackets. All participants are part of the ArtOber 2022 Festival celebrating art in all its forms.
