Arts Council of Princeton Celebrates El Día de Los Muertos
with Free Community Festival on November 1st

Princeton, NJ – The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) invites the community to join in its annual Day of the Dead Community Celebration on Saturday, November 1 from 1–3pm at the Princeton Shopping Center. This free, family-friendly festival honors El Día de Los Muertos, a vibrant Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives of loved ones who have passed.

Celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world, El Día de Los Muertos brings together art, music, and storytelling as a joyful remembrance of those who have gone before us. For more than twenty years, the ACP has proudly hosted this event, welcoming the community to learn about and take part in this rich cultural holiday.

This year’s celebration will feature an afternoon filled with crafts inspired by traditional Mexican folk art, including sugar skull decorating, metal tooling, paper flower making, and more. Attendees can also enjoy live mariachi music by Mariachi Los Tigres de Princeton, brews by Triumph Brewing Company, and the creation of a community altar.

Visitors of all ages are encouraged to participate.  For more information, visit the ACP website: https://artscouncilofprinceton.org/event/day-of-the-dead-community-celebration
