Meet the Artists Behind the Covered Bridge Artisans Studio Tour

Thanksgiving weekend, November 27 – 29, 2026 will mark the Covered Bridge Artisans 32nd year. 22 different artists will be featured at nine different studios and a group location at Sandy Ridge Community Church. All ten stops are within five miles of Stockton, New Jersey.

Hunterdon County, PA – There’s something special about stepping into an artist’s studio. You can see the work up close, meet the person who made it, and discover what catches your eye when you have time to linger.

That spirit has brought people together for more than three decades at the Covered Bridge Artisans Fall Studio Tour. This Thanksgiving weekend marks the tour’s 32nd year, with 22 artists welcoming visitors to nine studios and a group location at Sandy Ridge Community Church. All ten stops are within five miles of Stockton, New Jersey.

The five directors and founders pictured here offer a glimpse of the variety visitors will find. Karen Caldwell creates fused and stained glass; her Garden Visitors brings bright flowers, bees, a butterfly, and a hummingbird together in glass. Katherine Hackl’s pottery pairs everyday forms with striking black-and-white patterns of flowers and birds.

Sheila Fernekes brings color and texture to her beaded jewelry. David Cann’s sculpture explores tall, spare forms, while Constance Bassett’s painting draws the viewer into the folds and subtle colors of a flower.

And that’s just the beginning. Whether you visit a familiar favorite or follow the map to a studio you’ve never seen before, the tour is a chance to spend a little time with art and the people who make it. The directors hope you’ll join them over Thanksgiving weekend.
