EXTENDED: Women in Photography at New Hope Arts – An Invitational Exhibition

NEWSROOM POST: NEW HOPE, PENNSYLVANIA

New Hope, PA – New Hope Arts Center announced in August the 2023 Legacy Exhibition, Featuring Diane Levell: Women in Photography – Unique Images of Progress and Process, to run August 12 with plans to close on September 10, 2023. It has been recently announced the exhibition has been extended and will now run through September 30th.  Levell is accompanied by four fellow and local photographers, including: Suzan Gottshall, Michelle Kott, Susan Kott, and Denise Marshall.

Levell an international and national exhibited photographer has been recognized as a master of technique and will be featured in the New Hope Arts’ 2023 Legacy Exhibition, showcasing over 30 of her works.  She is a Bucks County native and will be accompanied by four regional fellow female photographers during the exclusive exhibition.

Exhibiting for over 40 years, Levell’s local 2019 major exhibition at the Michener Museum of Art, curator Kathleen V. Jameson touted Levell as the “Intrepid Alchemist,” for her adventurous exploration of the medium and dedication to honing the subtleties of light and form.  The selection of work offered at New Hope Arts will include a landscape series from Bucks County and Brandywine. 

During the run of Women in Photography – Unique Images of Progress and Process, New Hope Arts hosted an exciting opening reception on August 12th from 4pm – 6pm with a themed to the exhibition, illustrated talk on Women in Photography.

The New Hope Arts Center has been recently renovated and has resumed regular gallery hours are every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.  The New Hope Arts Center is located in the borough of New Hope at 2 Stockton Avenue.  More at NewHopeArts.org.
