Newtown, PA – Looking for things to do in Bucks County, PA, this fall? Bucks County Community College’s Bucks Live! series brings live music, comedy and unique performances to Newtown, Pennsylvania, this October and November, including tributes to Steely Dan, the Grateful Dead and the Beach Boys, a free improv comedy show and acclaimed pianist ELEW performing the music of Sting.
Presented at the Zlock Performing Arts Center on the Bucks County Community College Newtown campus, Bucks Live! offers a lineup of affordable cultural events designed to entertain, inspire and enrich the Bucks County arts community.
Steely Dead — October 10
On Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m., Steely Dead takes the stage for a nostalgic trip through the golden era of rock.
The group brings together two distinctive musical worlds, combining the precision and sophistication of Steely Dan with the free-flowing improvisation, melodies and creative segues associated with the Grateful Dead.
Lights Out: The Jersey Beach Boys — October 17
Fans of classic harmonies can head to Newtown on Saturday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. for Lights Out: The Jersey Beach Boys.
The fully choreographed show combines the sounds of the West Coast with East Coast energy, featuring iconic harmonies, comedy and audience interaction in a tribute inspired by the music and spirit of the Beach Boys.
Free Bucks Improv Comedy Show — October 27
For those searching for free things to do in Bucks County, Bucks Live! presents the Bucks Improv Comedy Show at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 27.
Bucks County Community College students join professional comedians for an evening of improvisational comedy created with suggestions from the audience. The performance is directed by Bucks faculty member Jason Scott Quinn.
Admission to the comedy performance is free.

ELEW Plays Sting — November 6
The fall Bucks Live! season continues on Friday, November 6 at 7:30 p.m. when acclaimed pianist Eric Lewis, known professionally as ELEW, comes to Newtown for ELEW Plays Sting.
ELEW reimagines Sting’s iconic songs through his electrifying rock-jazz style. Known for intense, theatrical performances, the piano virtuoso incorporates unconventional techniques — including playing percussively inside the piano — to create his distinctive sound.

All four performances take place at the Zlock Performing Arts Center at Bucks County Community College, located at:

Free parking is available on campus. Guests can also arrive early for refreshments at the Zlock Lobby Bar.
