Emerging Filmmakers Take the Spotlight at the 2025 Bucks County FilmFest in Doylestown

On October 18th, join filmmakers, actors, and film lovers in downtown Doylestown for a full day of screenings, script readings, and celebrations of cinematic creativity.
Doylestown, PA – The Bucks County FilmFest returns to the historic County Theater, 20 East State Street, for its annual juried festival showcasing the next generation of filmmakers and screenwriters. This year’s festival features screenings of short films from high school, college, and emerging filmmakers, along with live readings of finalist screenplays performed by professional actors.
With over 170 submissions, the 2025 FilmFest presents the very best in narrative, documentary, animation, music video, and experimental storytelling.

Event Highlights Include:
-Finalist Film Screenings throughout the day
-Live Script Table Read: Top 3 screenplays performed by professional actors
-Panel Discussion with industry professionals
-Awards Ceremony honoring winners in both film and screenwriting categories
-Post-Event Gathering in downtown Doylestown
More than $2,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, including Best of Fest, Audience Choice, and top honors in screenwriting.
