Raymond Farm Center Unveils Late-Summer and Autumn 2026 Programming Lineup

Hands-On Craft Workshops, Architectural Tours, and Annual Design Symposium Highlight Season in New Hope

New Hope, PA  – The Raymond Farm Center for Living Arts & Design (RFC) announced its late-summer and autumn 2026 programming schedule today. Set against the historic backdrop of the former studio home of pioneering architects Antonin and Noémi Raymond, the season features craft workshops, historic house tours, and a major two-day symposium.

 

Truly creative work finds its basis in nature, in freedom, in reality, and in hard work,” noted architect Antonin Raymond. This guiding philosophy continues to shape the center’s educational mission. 

Upcoming Public Programming: 

 

Woodblock Printmaking Workshop: Saturday, Aug. 15, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. 

Led by Ananda Connolly. Participants will learn traditional relief printing and hand-printing methods inspired by the surrounding landscape. Registration: $80. 

 

Shibori Dyeing Workshop: Saturday, Aug. 22, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. 

Led by Karen Kobayashi. A hands-on masterclass in traditional Japanese resist-dyeing (itajime-zome) and natural indigo application. Registration: $80. 

 

RFC Extended Historic House Tour: Saturday, Sept. 12, 1 p.m. 

Led by John DeFazio. An architectural tour exploring the synthesis of Pennsylvania Quaker vernacular architecture, Japanese design philosophy, and mid-century Modern Architecture. Registration: $25.

 

Featured Event: 2026 Annual Symposium 

 

COLLABORATIONS: Partners in Life, Architecture, Art & Design 

Saturday, Sept. 26 – Sunday, Sept. 27 

 

The season’s centerpiece is a multi-day symposium celebrating multi-disciplinary creative partnerships and women in design leadership. Organized in partnership with Nakashima Woodworkers, the event features lectures from leading design figures and an exclusive tour of the neighboring Nakashima complex. Open to professionals, students, and the interested public in the design, architecture, and collaborative process.

Noémi Pernessin Raymond Exhibit Gallery

The domestic season coincides with a milestone year for the Raymond legacy, following Noémi Pernessin Raymond’s (1889–1980) first solo exhibition at Gallery A4 in Tokyo, Japan, highlighting her influence on 20th-century architecture and textiles.
