Riverside Symphonia returns to the First Presbyterian Church in Lambertville with the Four Seasons: Two Perspectives concert

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ  – Riverside Symphonia will present on Saturday April 13, 2024, a mesmerizing concert experience, Four Seasons: Two Perspectives. The performance will showcase the enduring beauty of Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons contrasting the passionate compositions of Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.  Renowned violinist Kinga Augustyn will join the Symphonia as the guest artist for this extraordinary evening of music.

Vivaldi’s Four Seasons stands as a timeless masterpiece, capturing the essence of each season through evocative melodies and intricate compositions. From the delicate blossoms of spring to the icy winds of winter, Vivaldi’s work remains a beloved cornerstone of classical music repertoire.

Complementing Vivaldi’s classic composition, Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires offers a dynamic and contemporary interpretation of seasonal transitions. Infused with the sultry rhythms of Argentine tango, Piazzolla’s work breathes new life into the age-old theme of seasonal change, blending tradition with innovation in a truly electrifying fashion.

Kinga Augustyn first performed with Riverside Symphonia as part of its All Strings Attached in October 2015.  Augustyn is known for her virtuosic talent and expressive performances, bringing a unique depth and passion to every piece she plays.  To make this concert more enjoyable for her audience and to continue the contrast further, Augustyn said, she’s aiming for a different sound between the concertos and therefore will be using a different bows for each one.
